The mission of the Caritas is the service of the merciful love of the Church to people at risk or in need without regard to age, gender, political positions, family situation, medical condition, sexual orientation, social or economic circumstances, membership in a minority ethnicity or nationality, faith, religion, or culture.
The Caritas Czech Republic is a legal entity in accordance with the Code of Canonical Law (Canon 312, 313). It is part of the Roman Catholic Church registered in the Czech Republic according to Act No. 3/2002 Coll. Its founder is the Czech Conference of Bishops (in Czech).
Registration number with the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic: 8/1-00-702/1999.
